This era in American History was monumental for women. During this era, the Great Depression, WWII, and the Cold war took place. Women progressed and took action to be seen as equals. They went to work, war and also taught their children. Many women went through emotional struggles by sending their husbands to war with many of them not coming back. During this time many women were able to prove themselves as worthy and independent. This wave of confidence gave women and girls hope for the future in America.
